I am the Good God. My wisdom is supreme, and My laws are the glory and fulfillment of all things. I am very near, My people, as near as air to skin, as root to tree, as warmth to fire. Your hearts are My home, and your actions are My power. Listen to Me and you shall be blessed.
Commentary: The Golden Tablets are ancient artifacts of the Dunnek people. According to legend, there were originally 12, but only 3 have survived to the present day. The Tablets are made of a gold alloy, and are identical in size and shape. The Dunnek do not remember the origin of these Tablets; they have possessed them for millenia, and they believe that they were cut by the Good God Itself. The words on the Tablets are in an unknown script. The priests of the Dunnek claim that the above words are a true rendering, but so far the script has defied exact interpretation. The Golden Tablets are believed by both the Dunnek and the Kadane to be a revelation from the Good God, and they form the underpining of their respective faiths.© 1998, Terrence Donnelly
